Here is your annual player ratings report. Players who are worth keeping are given a 1-3
star rating. *** = optimal keepers, ** =
solid keepers, * = you still get some value when keeping.
For those who care, I used a loose algorithm (your mom’s a
loose algorithm!). I took the current
NFL.com ADP for every player that was even close to being keeper- worthy. I rounded the ranking down and divided by 12
(we have 12 teams). I then rounded that
number down and compared it to the 2015 value of the player. The reason I rounded the #’s down twice is
because we have a 2 keeper league and players are mostly taken earlier than
generic ADP’s say they should be taken because we draft 24 less players from
the field (2 keepers each).
When comparing our modified ADP to the player’s 2015 value,
the earlier the round we are talking, the more likely to have more value. For example, Skip is picking at the end of
the first round and has the chance to keep Lacy who NFL says is the top player
in the draft. He gets a ** value based
on the move up in the 1st round.
Whereas Eli Manning gets 1 star because his 2015 value is 11th
round and his adjusted ADP is in the 8th round. However, those are junk rounds and do not
carry as much weight.
I put the stars out based on how far you would move up had
you drafted the player this year using the rounds moved up in a tier system.
1st round / 2-3rd rounds/ 4-7 rounds/
8-14 (junk) rounds
Next order of business
is figuring out a Saturday between now and Labor Day to have our draft. Remember the youngins (me, holly, tommy,
fern, ed, and larry) are responsible for a keg of beer (6 ways will not be too
expensive and I know the old fucks love bud light). We just need Jansson to commit to 1 Saturday
without soccer or Kismet house. I mean
cmon real men play real man sports where you grab balls with your hands and not
kick them around like girls!
